Logos and Branding

Weekend Student Adventures

Weekend Student Adventures is a tour company started by Andy Steves, the son of PBS travel guru, Rick Steves. His company offered students studying abroad weekend-length tours to neighboring European cities. This project included wireframes, branding, and the front-end design of their site.

The logo was developed around the concept of travel and movement. The graphical shapes overlap semi-transparently to mimic the cobblestones of Europe and overlaid in a pattern to form both abstract "footprints", and to represent the two-and-a half day tour length of the itineraries.

The Cove School

The Cove School is a montessori school based in West Seattle, WA. They needed a logo that embodies the mission of empowering, igniting, and creating an open environment to nourish young minds. The logomark represents the concept of “power turned sideways”, with the letter C resembling open arms guiding a child.
